I've always had a fire extinguisher in all of my trucks to have in one of those "worst case"
scenarios. In my new 2008 Double cab Tundra I wanted to run a solid mount with out drilling into anything.
Looking around I found the perfect spot below the passenger side rear seat just in front of the spare tire tools and jack.

This is what I came up with. I took a 1" aluminum strip and drilled a two 7/16" holes in it.
I then drilled a few smaller holes and mounted the plastic mount that came with the fire extinguisher with some sheet metal screws.

Then I cut the back side off the screws so that I would lay flat.

I pulled some random lock washers I had laying around so that to make up for the divit in the factory seat
bracket. This would allow the aluminum strip to lay as flat as possible.

This is what I ended up with, out of the way and easy to grab in a hurry.
